Course Overview: This 1.5-hour live online course is designed to equip school bus drivers and attendants with essential knowledge and practical skills to ensure student safety during transport. The course covers the roles and responsibilities of transport officers, effective student behaviour management, proper incident reporting, and essential CPR and first aid training. Additionally, participants will receive basic safeguarding training to better protect and support students. By the end of the course, attendees will be better prepared to handle day-to-day challenges and emergencies, to ensure a safe and positive transport environment. (All school staff should complete the Introduction To Safeguarding Course)
Content:
- The role of school bus transport Officers (Responsibilities and job requirements),
- Student behaviour management (Rules, positive reinforcement, de-escalation),
- Incident reporting protocols (documentation and escalation),
- CPR and First Aid Essentials (Life-saving techniques, first response),
- Basic Safeguarding Information (Recognising and reporting concerns).

- A projector and screen
- A stable internet connection
