Guess What? We hosted our first live event on Instagram and Tiktok, and here’s how it went:
On Wednesday, 10th of April, 2024, at
5 PM, I had the privilege of hosting a live session on TikTok and Instagram.
This session was focused on Affluent Neglect and its impact on children.
During the session, we discussed what
Affluent Neglect actually is, highlighting how it differs from traditional
forms of neglect and the barriers to recognizing its signs and effects on
children’s well-being. We also explored how to identify Affluent Neglect in
practice, in spite of societal perceptions and biases, and discussed strategies
for addressing it effectively.
Throughout the session, our Tiktok
and Instagram viewers actively engaged with the topic, sharing their thoughts,
experiences, and questions. It was quite interesting to see such meaningful
dialogue and the shared commitment to safeguarding children from neglect,
regardless of their socioeconomic status. Most of the viewer were parents and
people who work with children, so their persoectives were quite helpful.
As you well know, I am deeply
passionate about raising awareness of safeguarding issues and advocating for
the protection of children’s rights. Thus, I am grateful to everyone who joined
the live session and contributed to the conversation.
